Day 1 – Arrival in Mexico City

Arrival at Mexico City International Airport, reception and welcome by our staff. During the transfer to the hotel, the guide will provide information about the upcoming tours. Hotel check-in (rooms available from 3:00 p.m.). Overnight stay.

Day 2 – Sanctuary of the 5th Apparition in Tulpetlac – Basilica of Guadalupe with time to attend Mass (operates Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday)

After breakfast, we will visit the Sanctuary of the Fifth Apparition in Tulpetlac, where the Virgin appeared to Juan Bernardino (uncle of Saint Juan Diego), healed him, and asked to be known as “Ever Virgin Holy Mary of Guadalupe.” This is why it is considered the Temple of Health. We will then continue to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of Mexico, where we can admire Juan Diego’s miraculous tilma, visit both the old and new basilicas, walk through Plaza Mariana, and see the Carillon clock, the Parish of the Indians, the Temple of El Pocito, and the monument known as La Ofrenda. Free time to climb Tepeyac Hill, explore additional chapels, and enjoy panoramic views. Time to attend Mass, shop for souvenirs, and receive a blessing from a Basilica priest.

Day 3 – Mexico City – Coyoacán – Xochimilco

After breakfast, we will tour the Historic Center of Mexico City, once called “The City of Palaces” for its colonial architecture. Highlights include the Zócalo, the National Palace with Diego Rivera’s murals (if permitted), the Metropolitan Cathedral, and a panoramic view of the Aztec Templo Mayor. We will then visit Coyoacán, known for its charming streets and colonial mansions, followed by Xochimilco, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we will ride a colorful trajinera (boat) through the canals and admire the chinampas (floating gardens). On the way back, we will pass by the National University (UNAM) to see murals by Juan O’Gorman, the Olympic Stadium, the National Library, and the Rector’s offices. Return to the hotel.

Day 4 – Teotihuacán – House of Juan Diego (operates Monday and Thursday)

After breakfast, we will visit the archaeological site of Teotihuacán, exploring the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and other important ruins. We will also learn about pulque, the traditional pre-Hispanic drink, and obsidian crafts. Later, we will visit the Sanctuary of “Ever Virgin Mary, House of Saint Juan Diego” in Cuautitlán, where Juan Diego was born. We will see archaeological remains of his home and the new sanctuary.

Day 5 – Our Lady Undoer of Knots – Convent of the Holy Cross – Querétaro (operates Tuesday and Friday; departure from hotel approx. 5:00 a.m., arrival in Querétaro approx. 9:00 a.m.)

Breakfast included during the tour. We will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady Undoer of Knots, where pilgrims ask for her intercession to resolve difficult problems, heal emotional wounds, and find peace. Next, we will visit the Temple of the Holy Cross, home to a unique tree whose thorns grow in the shape of the Cross of Christ. Finally, we will tour Querétaro, admiring its aqueduct and learning about its history. Return to Mexico City around 8:00–9:00 p.m.

Day 6 – Tlaxcala – Ocotlán – Saint Michael the Archangel (operates Wednesday and Saturday)

After breakfast, we will explore Tlaxcala, visiting the Government Palace with its murals, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Art Museum, the Basilica of Ocotlán, and the Heroes’ Stairway. We will then continue to San Miguel del Milagro, where tradition says Saint Michael the Archangel appeared to Diego Lázaro in 1631, revealing a miraculous spring and instructing the construction of a temple in his honor. The sanctuary still preserves the sacred well.

Day 7 – Departure from Mexico City

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home. (Rooms must be vacated by 12:00 noon regardless of flight time. Lunch and dinner are not included on this day.) End of services.
